Four Points by Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Airport

Front desk does NOT pay attention to any details that you place in your reservation. I mentioned needing extra towels, pillows, and that we would be using the fold-out sofa bed. Nothing was ready for us. I had to ask for various things 2-3x. When they finally brought sheets, they dropped them off. Didn't even make the bed. Sure, I know how to make a bed but I am paying for a service that they are clearly not providing. Breakfast is NOT included, even though MOST hotels (even the Holiday Inn!!) offer FREE breakfast these days. Hotel has a musty smell throughout, especially on the 6th floor. As a Marriott family of hotels, I would have expected much better! We stayed at the Springhill across the street earlier in the summer and it was better. I will stay there in the future.

We came here on a day pass after getting off of a cruise. Front desk was very nice upon check in. They had a free airport shuttle than ran once an hour but we did not utilize it. Room was very nice and clean but definitely had a mildew odor about it that lingered. When we left the front desk person was busy talking so we weren't able to let them know about the smell. Can't speak to breakfast offering as we weren't there while it was available. Would come back on a day pass or for 1 night stay.

I purchased a long-term parking pass for "airport parking," but upon arrival, I found the lot completely flooded, despite it not raining. The water was midway up car doors, which was shocking. When I asked the receptionist if the higher areas were safe, she responded with an attitude, saying, “What did you expect? This is Florida.” As a Florida resident, I know not all parking lots are like this. I also contacted Spot Hero for a refund, but they made it difficult. I recommend avoiding this lot, hotel, and Spot Hero. It’s worth paying a bit more for a secure above-ground parking space at the airport.

I’m not one to write reviews but I always look at reviews and I just wanna look out for others! We stayed here for 5 nights driving 18+ hours away. When we arrived at the front desk the ladies were not very pleasant or welcoming. We had booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we arrived there was only 2 towels. After being on the road for so long we wanted to freshen up so we asked the front desk for 2 more towels. They said they would bring them to us! Hours go by still no towels we had to go up again to ask. Later on we found mold in the corner of the bathtub. Stains on the sheets and when we spoke with the manager he gave us free breakfast and new sheets which was very generous but not fixing what had just happened! There was police and ambulance at hotel @1am and noise disturbances outside from people fighting. Overall if you want something cheap this is it but it’s not clean or welcoming.

Be aware that this hotel is quite far from the Everglades cruise port as the shuttle cost from the hotel to the cruise port costs more than $30 USD. Not many restaurants and no coffee shop are around the hotel. Staff members did not go beyond the very minim service. Yet, the price of the staying is high. I would not return to this hotel.

The check in process was not pleasant. The front desk Zee, was not friendly. She said our deposit didn't go through. We said it clearly stated authorized and she accused us of lying and demanded a deposit. Looking at our transactions today we see they took the deposit twice and only refunded one. We spoke to the operations manager and "Sort of accounting" Patty who both argued excessively that the first transaction didn't go through. Finally, they actually did see it, as we were correct all along. Offered no apology. Despite asking to speak with the general manager, the staff seemed afraid to transfer me to him.

Gigi at the front desk is THE BEST. She made our experience in Miami truly 100x better and more enjoyable. The room was clean, they have a free airport shuttle & we even walked to a great lunch spot. Great experience! THANK YOU GIGI!!!
