I have been going there for many years. Ive never had a bad vehicle from them. The owners are amazing and help if you are honest and talk to them. They are honest and very welcoming to everyone. First, for the lady who posted about a title to one vehicle. Since you had both cars on one loan then you have to pay all of it off before you would get the titles to any vehicle. If you wanted them on two different loans you should have talked to them about it.
Second, yes there are laws to help protect people with buying used cars (lemons). You are not getting a NEW CAR!!!! It does not have a warranty on it. Im also positive that if you would of talked to the owers about the problem you say you were having with the engine light, they would of helped fix it or come to an agreement.
Thirdly, insurance is mandatory in the state of Illinois. As the owner to a car lot, they have the right to ask for verification of insurance on any vehicle they sell to anyone. Which the vehicles that you are still paying on are still theirs.
As for the man who said they would not lift the lean on your car. You do know that its not a bank that has your title while you pay for a vehicle right? Well apparently not if you posted what you post. Now i do know for a fact that when you pay your vehicle loan off that they sign the title and give it to you. As to what you did with the title thats not the owners responsibly. They signed the paper work for you as you said. Did you asked them to also have it notarized? Maybe if you had they would of done that also. This just sounds like you lost the title and you dont want to pay the fees to apply for a lost title.

I have to let people know I have bought 2 cars I had about 1100 left on the other car so he add it to next car which cost me 8000 I have got it paid down to 2125 he refuses to give me the title to the other car recently my daughter has bought 4 cars from them he has never asked about no insurance on neither car although she always had it but recently they harassed about insurance than end up taking the car and telling her they are not giving the car back wouldn't give her belongings out the car until she got a lawyer and is now sueing them like many of you I though this was a good place to buy a car until I found out the are not good business car lot not only that when she got the truck the check engine light was on he checked it cleared the check engine light instead of fixing the problem telling her you sign and bought this car as is now it's on you they thought it was the Cadillac converter which it was that to they changed that but didn't fix the first problem she had from the beginning people has to know there are laws that do protect you with as is cars so please don't let this car lot and no other pay here car lot bully you this is a business they have to handle themselves in that way please be knowledge about places like this and make sure they formally give you notices that's the business way of doing things maybe this will be a lesson for them to everyone is not going to lay down and let you bully them and the person that own the place disappear never talking to you and saying nothing be smart and lawyer up

They never took the lean of my truck when we paid it off. I have know idea as to why or how there still in buisness. To top it all off when I mailed them a lean release they signed it but never notarized it so the DMV won't take it off. The truck I have has been paid of for over 10 years and I can only scrap it now.
