We stopped in late on a Friday evening for dinner on our trip to Atlanta. Super cute inside, staff was very friendly.

The menu options all sounded great so it was a struggle to make a decision, but I ordered Fried Artichokes to start and Lobster Ravioli. The lemon sauce that came with the fried artichokes was AMAZING. They were light and crispy and somehow as a fried food, didn’t feel heavy. This lobster ravioli was a first for me and it didn’t disappoint. The portion was great and there was more lobster is both the ravioli and the sauce than I had expected. Husband had Chicken Parmesan and he also really enjoyed his meal.

Overall it was a great dinning experience. Definitely left full, and felt that menu pricing reflected the food quality and overall dinning experience.

I visited the downtown location and learned they had a buckhead location, so I wanted to give it a try. The patio area is lovely! The staff was very attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Chance was our server, and he was kind and helpful. The parking deck has 2 hours free, but the restaurant also validates if you run over time. Prices and portions are very reasonable, and the ambiance is upscale but cozy. They have clean restrooms, with plenty of stalls. I loved it and will return soon!

This place is a 3 minute drive from GSU. First 2 hour parking is free. It's such a beautiful restaurant. The location, ambiance, food, and service were all delicious. I will definitely revist this restaurant. There's also another establishment speakeasy next door that has a red phone booth outside. Make it a two for one experience, lol. But definitely check Amalfi out. It was a wonderful experience.

Amalfi Cucina & Mercato is a Neapolitan pizzeria centered around a 6000 pound wood-burning brick oven, imported from Italy. Amalfi focuses on providing an authentic Italian menu using fresh, quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy. Its owners, Greg Grant and Stephen de Haan, apprenticed under Pizzaiolo Maestros and studied under Associazione Verace Pizza Napolentana.

ACM is located in Buckhead near the intersection of Peachtree and Piedmont Roads. There are two Atlanta locations, with the other eatery located Downtown. The restaurant group also owns Red Phone Booth locations in Atlanta, Nashville, Miami, and metro Dallas.

The restaurant is very spacious. I have never been to Italy (very much on my bucket list), but I felt transported to Campania. Customer service was solid. The staff was welcoming and fielded questions regarding the menu.

We ordered:
Drinks: French 75, Pineapple Martini, Coffee
Appetizers: Pizza Amalfi, Insalata Della Casa, Blossom Fritti, Polpette (meatballs)
Mains: Rigatoni di Napoli (blackened chicken), Nonna’s Spaghetti and Meatballs, Aragosta (Lobster) Ravioli
Dessert: Caramel cheesecake

The French 75 was solid, but we loved the Pineapple Martini. The coffee was cold and we ended up returning it.

The Pizza Amalfi was delicious with its thin crust, rich San Marzano sauce, and balance of spice from the sausage with the peppadew peppers. The Insalata Della Casa was not memorable, lacking a memorable dressing. I loved the marinara sauce with the basil and mozzarella; however, I did not enjoy the flavor of the meatballs. The Blossom Fritti was also disappointing, as the batter and zucchini blossoms were bland.

The main dishes were enjoyed by all members of our party. The Lobster Ravioli was particularly memorable but we were all members of the clean plate club.

We also really enjoyed the caramel cheesecake. The creaminess of the cheesecake paired well with the caramel topping. We would come back for their pizzas, creamy pastas, wine (Amalfi has a nice wine list featuring Italian wines), cocktails, and cheesecake.

Funghi Pizza was the best. I liked the bread they brought with olive oil and Parmesan cheese. Do not go for pistachio tiramisu. It sounded more exciting than what it was.

Rigatoni sauce was watery (more like a soup)
I don’t recommend cesar salad nor eggplant parmigiana.

Friendly and professional staff!

I’ve come to this restaurant a couple of times and each time I left feeling full and happy. I’ve tried so many of this dishes here and almost all of them were great! I would recommend the Lobster Ravioli, the Chicken Rigatoni, the Peppadew Peppers, the Cesar Salad, the Zucchini Flowers and the spaghetti pasta! A secret if you’re the kind of person who enjoys spicy food, ask for the Calabrian hot honey sauce. It sounds like it’s sweet but it’s actually spicy and so good! I would come here over and over for sure.
