Very friendly, affordable, and honest garage.

I am long time customer and have gone out of my way to remain one after a few interactions that left an impact on me as a testimony to their honesty and integrity. For example, one time the cost of repairs was lower than the previously agreed upon quoted price (would definitely not have known any better), and they went out of their way to refund me the difference despite the original quote already being quite affordable.

Been there quite a few times, just the very first one being great (replacing thermostat housing). All the subsequent ones not so much.
Then had a second visit for the service and mot - they removed the bymiles car insurance obd tracker (guessing they needed access to the Obd port). They did not put it back and was driving a few days without realising. If there was an accident, that would have invalidated my insurance… so then i called them, they said it should be somewhere in the car, eventually found under the driver’s seat… didn’t even say sorry…
Went for another service again next year - they unplugged the dashcam (understandable for privacy reasons etc) but again, they didn’t bother plugging it back in

And today was the last time I ever went there - I know I went without booking, but was asking if there was anything they could do for the rear window (where baby’s seat was) which was down and didn’t go back up they had a quick look, tried forcing the window back up, couldn’t sort it. And they said they were fully booked and couldn’t help, bearing in mind it was kind of emergency, having my 1 year old with me..
Went to the other garage, they saw me with the baby straight away even though they were also busy (which garage isn’t). Removed the door panel, checked what’s wrong, put the window back up and ordered the new part for the next day, all within 30min and without any delays, not even paying anything upfront for removing the door panel and fixing it temporarily (sliding the window back up).

I gave these guys a bit of benefit of a doubt - multiple times but seems to have been an absolute disappointment. Never coming again

This was the second time I've booked in my car for a Full Service & MOT with this garage, I've never had any complaints. The guys at F Dunn and Sons are incredibly friendly, professional and knowledgeable. The service was completed in the agreed time frame and was kept up to date when necessary, its located locally to where I live and close by to the city centre which allows you to keep yourself busy and they're great value for money. I couldn't recommend and rate them any more highly.

Took my car for it's first mot on the 16/6/2022, Matthew was super friendly, and hooray it passed. Booked in for a service in a few weeks, finally a genuine company who doesn't try taking advantage. Would recommend to anyone. Verona

Again another 5 star experience. Mot and full service. Failed on passengers door. This was sorted mot then passed and ready on same day. Don't recommend anywhere else.
